John 12:24

About

This website is where I will endeavor to share some of my life's journey of faith. It is my hope and desire that what is shared here both Honor's and Glorifies Elohim and that it might also be a blessing to those reading it.

The idea behind this is that it has been with me since my early twenties when I first came to a Christian faith. However, the actual verse didn't really begin to be heavily impressed upon me until early 2015. It was in early 2015 that I believe Elohim (God) really began to open my spiritual ears and eyes. In my early twenties, it was the idea that  if I wanted more of Elohim (God), I would have to die. This was more than I could bear at the time because I don't think I understood what I believed that Messiah was speaking to me. It was around January 2011 while going through my third divorce that this scripture began to really resonate with me so much so that I registered the domain name John1224.com on Saturday January 29th, 2011 and I have used it for my personal email ever since.

In March of 2011 I met my curent wife and we were married in November of that same year. It was around March of 2015, after my wife and I had been spending four to eight hours per day listening to teachings, after months and months of studying and asking myself why I believe what I believe, I mean really there was something lacking. After thirty-five years of walking in Christianity, I didn’t seem to myself to really be that different inside. Christianity just didn’t seem to work. There was something wrong with it. There was something missing.

I had been surfing YouTube looking for more teachings and kept stumbling across the same teaching that I kept rejecting. I believe I heard God tell me at that time that if I considered myself to be a good judge, then I needed to hear from both sides of the argument. To do otherwise would be unjust.

It was about a two-hour debate regarding the Sabbath. I walked away from this feeling like my eyes and ears had been finally opened up to hear truth.

In short, from that time in 2015 through 2017, my wife and I grew so much more in our faith and understanding of spiritual thing and were given I belive a very good foundational instruction in Elohim 's (God's) ways. The Torah, His instructions for us on how we should live and it all began with honoring His Holy Set-Apart Day, The Sabbath Day that He created for us.

Towards the end of 2017, I met Curtis Reid and was introduced to what I believe had been missing all of my life and that is Tru Biblical Discipleship. I was invited at that time to join Curtis and eleven other me in what we affectionately call 'The Donkey Stable'.

About a year latter, I found my self not only submitting into a Donkey Stable but actually stepped out and began serving into a Donkey stable of my own.

It is now early 2026, still serving into a stable as servant leader. Not but a few months ago, all of the Donkey Stables were tasked with defining in their own words, in a short paragraph, the value of the stables.

This is what my stable worked together and came up with:

The Donkey Stables have taught and continue to teach us to walk together as brothers in Messiah. Narrow and hard-pressed is the gate, and it is through overcoming in these trials that God is shaping us. True love is tested in the trials, through the overcoming, the heart/soul of man is softened, our backs are strengthened and He through His Holy Spirit helps us to lay down what is not of Him. In the Donkey Stables, we continue to learn how to pray for, to serve, and to lift each other up. As Messiah has demonstrated, learning to love one another as He loved us, which is only possible with the help of His Holy Spirit, walking together as brothers, iron sharpening iron, we are becoming better men of God, a true blessing to our families, those we walk with, at home, at work and the community around us. This is the preparation required for those desiring to be The Bride of Messiah. For those who have and are learning these things, the value of walking in true discipleship is priceless.
